Gorilla Axle

Raising an ATV for increased ability to climb over increasingly large terrain obstacles requires dependable durability for the rigors the suspension is put through. Gorilla Suspension Lifts provide dependable suspension lift for use under the harshest recreational or competition use.

According to what type ATV you own and which Gorilla kit you purchase, you can raise an ATV up to ten inches. This provides additional clearance both from ground to chassis and from tire to fender. Because raising the ATV causes a higher center of gravity, the Gorilla Suspension kit also widens suspension so stability is not compromised.

Axles included in the suspension kit are developed to provide, in general, twice the durability of stock axles. This durability is necessary for the inevitable increased load of powerful engines and huge tires that increase the angles at which the axles will be stressed. No modification to the ATV is generally required to install a Gorilla Suspension lift kit.

Should a Gorilla axle fail or become damaged requiring repair or replacement parts, Gorilla Duty Outer Rebuild Kits provide the double strength parts necessary to replace one of their axles. Gorilla axles are design to accept only Gorilla Axle repair and replacement parts.

Significantly adding to the overall performance of the Gorilla Axle suspension are Gorilla Silverback ATV tires. With lug wrapping that goes from bead to bead, the tires provide traction no matter what angle the tires are required to traverse. The Gorilla Silverback tire comes in sizes from twenty seven to thirty two inches.

Because adding lift to an ATV usually causes a "chain reaction" within the components of the machine, installing heavy duty parts in one place results in breakage of stock parts in another. One weak spot created when heavy duty lift kits are installed is the through shaft that runs from transmission through the motor to the front differential. Under increased heavy load from the custom lift kits, this part is often a point of breakage. Gorilla Axle solves this dilemma with their Gorilla Duty Can-Am "Through" Shaft. Made from the same high strength material as their axles, this shaft is double strong to tie in the the components to the heavy duty suspension without breaking under severe load.

If there is any down side to installing Gorilla Axle parts in an ATV is that they "don't play well with others". When their parts have to be rebuilt or repaired, they will only accept parts by Gorilla. But it's generally agreed that this minor annoyance is worth it considering the high quality of GA parts for the harsh environments they operate in.
