Under the effect of China cottage mobile phone and rush orders of low-cost computers, LED factory in February has a outstanding performance in sales, Bai Hong (3031), New Century Optoelectronics (3383), East Bay (2499) have dazzling sale revenues in February. To boost the economy, the mainland has launched policy of home appliances and automobiles to rural areas. Bai Hong, the first LED factory, which has deeply ploughed in the Chinese mainland market, recovers faster than the same industry. Wang Biyu, the spokesman of Bai Hong, said that Bai Hong shipping parts in China possess the proportion of revenues accounted for more than 60%, if the growth rate of China's economypersists in8%, Bai Hong will have less impact by the financial turmoil than the same industry. Bai Hong’s February revenue was 247 million New Taiwan dollars, representing a substantial growth of 68% in January. It is one of the few companies with positive revenue annual growth. Wang Biyu said that because of the cottage phone and cheap computers rush orders, the shipments of SMD-type LED up to 10 million yuan in February, which is doubled in January and exceeds company expectations. It is understood that Bai Hong cooperates with Chery to design internal and external LED lights, such as taillights, turn signals and reading lights, etc. Bai Hong is also the sole supplier of Chery. On the other hand, Bai Hong is the second suppliers of LED lights for the mainland carmaker Geely Holding Group. Mainland’s auto market is currently doing a great job, Bai Hong has the opportunities to continue to benefit in the future. Another LED factory, New Century (wholesale LED lights), the March sales will continue to rise significantly; the special assistant to the chairman of New Century, Lin Yuezhi, said that February sales had rebounded to 60 million yuan, which has increased by 69% in comparison with 35.56 million yuan in January, because of the good orders from mainland market, the orders are more than 80 million yuan. In addition, East Bay’s revenues also reached 171 million New Taiwan dollars in February, representing growth of 41% in January. For the mainland's, the rush orders of cottage phone make February revenue higher than expected. According to East Bay’s spokesman, Weng Congzhi, March revenue is expected to grow more than 30% than February. LED orders (cheap LED lights), with the demand of downstream customer, have been gradually increasing. Despite the previously poor environment and the economy has not fully recovered, the sign of increasing from the bottom exists in February. There are also more urgent orders on mobile phone backlight products, added to a long continuous lighting products order, the March sales could be increased by 30% than February.
