Writing and publishing online articles is one of the most popular, legitimate, and painless ways to earn money on the Internet nowadays. Everybody has a knowledge or experience to share, so why not earn a few bucks for writing it down and publishing it online?

So, if you have good writing skills, ready to invest some time into research, content writing, and publishing it on web sites that provide ad revenue-sharing options - then this would be a good money-making opportunity for you! What's good about article-generated income is that even though it might take some time for your article to start earning more than a few dollars per month at the beginning, but once you have written and published an article, if will keep earining you money indefinitely, as long as you keep your article posted on a particular web site. And you can publish dozens or even hundreds of articles, thus increasing your revenue and popularity of your content.

There are number of web sites that will pay you royalties for revenue generated by your content. Over the past two years, I wrote and submitted my articles to a few ad revenue-sharing websites, so I had a chance to compare which sites work better for me and which ones generated more revenue over the time. Personally, I had the best results with the following three websites:

1. Hubpages - is a popular website for publishing your content. They offer their writers 60% of ad revenue, generated from Google AdSense, Amazon, and eBay ads displayed on author's article page. To participate in Hubpages' revenue-sharing program, you need first to set up accounts with AdSense, Amazon, and eBay (as far as I know, eBay doesn't approve individual accounts any longer, so if you don't already have an eBay partner account - there is a little chance that you'll be able to use eBay ad revenue option on Hubpages). After you've set up an affiliate accounts with AdSense and Amazon, you can associate them with Hubpages and start earning your ad revenue.

2. Squidoo - this website has been around for a few years and offers authors 50% of ad revenue, generated by their articles. Less than Hubpages or Ongobee, but still not bad. You will need to set up an AdSense account first in order to start earning revenue on Squidoo.

3. Ongobee.com - newer, but rapidly growing website with a vide variety of content-creating features: on Ongobee, not only can you write standard articles (with pictures, videos, ads and links) but you can also create quizzes, calculators, trivia or combination of these using your personal, flixible format or using a big selection of ready-made templates. These features make content, published on Ongobee, really unique-looking and standing out in comparison to other Internet publishing sites, which is important for gaining popularity and high-article attendance by the readers (and perspective ad clickers) in the long run. As far as revenue, Ongobee offers its writers a generous 80% of revenue generated by Amazon ads and VigLink affiliated links within author's article, and 60% of all Google AdSense advertisement revenue generated on author's article pages.

Many articles have been written about earning money on Hubpages and Squidoo, so in this article I want to talk more about my experience on how to make more money writing articles on Ongobee.com website.

Is it really possible to earn a residual income writing articles (called Gobees) on Ongobee.com website?

At fist, I was skeptical of this relatively young site, but now, after I've written and published a few articles, I've started earning enough money to make writing worth my while. From my experience, you need to follow a few basic principles that will allow you to create articles (or quizzes, calculators, trivia, etc. ) that will draw a larger audience to your content and generate more ad revenue, thus earning you more money. The great thing about the income you earn writing Ongobee articles is that there is no limit to how much you can earn per article (Gobee). As long as your articles draw traffic and earn advertising revenue (generated by Google AdSense ads, Amazon ads
inserted by you, or different online merchant product links inserted by you into your article and automatically affiliated by VigLink), you will continue to earn revenue.

Below please find a few useful tips that will help you to maximize your earnings by writing Ongobee articles.

1. Choose topics that are popular and that are well supported by the advertisers at the same time.

2. Repeatedly (but reasonably) use keywords and key phrases throughout your article. In order to generate good revenue writing Ongobee articles, you should choose keywords and phrases that people are likely to use when searching for a topic. Be sure to incorporate your main keywords and phrases at least once in the article description field, introduction,  and once in every paragraph. Use a free tool like Google AdWords or WordTracker to find a list of the most important keywords for your topic. The trick is to find keywords with sufficient traffic, but not too much competition.

3. Write in a friendly, conversational manner, make sure you use good and clear English and that you ran spell check before you publish, so you don't have spelling errors. After you've added content and ads,  test-run your article and then publish it. Remember that you will be able to draw a much larger readership if your articles are informative and well-written. Keywords will help draw readers to your articles, but your tone and content will keep them there and will entice them to recommend it to their friends, family, etc., thus creating even more traffic to you article.

4. You can make even more money writing Ongobee articles by promoting them with click-able hyperlinks in email and message board signatures, and from your website or blog. Network with others by promoting your articles on social networking sites like My Space, Twitter, Facebook, and others. The more traffic you drive to your articles, the more ad revenue they will generate and the more money you will make.

5. Don't stop at one or two articles! To generate really good income, you need to create and publish a substantial number of articles. The key to optimizing your earnings is to create a large quantity of targeted, keyword heavy Gobee articles within a short time period so that you can begin earning your residual income.
For example, let's assume you created 100 articles with average earnings of $5 per article/month - these articles on average would earn you about $6,000 in a year. If, on average you spend about 1 hour writing each article, this will yield you $6,000 for 100 hours of work - not bad!  But at the same time you need to make sure that your articles have an interesting and unique content, they are of a high quality, sufficient length (a good article should be at least 800+ words), and that it is visually attractive.  Remember, your articles continue to earn you money as long as they keep generating ad revenue. Therefore, you need to always make sure that your articles are up-to-date, coming back to them, adding additional content and editing and updating them regularly.
